Meet The Dental Staff

Dr. Peña and staff

Gail – RDHGail – RDH

I started in dentistry at age 16 in all aspects of the “one-girl office”, front desk, and chairside assistant. Finally, I went on to college to become a registered dental hygienist. After passing the national and state boards, I started working in this practice with Dr. Eugene Triff. So proud to still be here now with Dr. Rebecca Irene Peña and seeing the third generation of the original patients of this practice who have become our friends as well as our patients. My outside interests are musical theater, theater, movie trivia, and art.

Alicia – RDHAlicia – RDH

Alicia joined our team in July 2020 on Mondays and One Friday a month. She was born and raised in California.  She has worked in the dental  field as a dental assistant  7 years prior to completing her Dental Hygiene education. She is a graduate from Cerritos College Dental Hygiene Program in 2001 with honors.  Alicia was Laser certified in 2007 through the Academy of Laser Dentistry. Alicia has been married 25 years  and lives in Lakewood  since 2003. She has 3 teenagers that keep her busy.  Alicia enjoys her family and career and manages to volunteer  at her church youth group, spinning, jogging and watching her kids sporting events.

Jazmin – Front Office & Treatment Coordinator

Currently enrolled in Cerritos Community College, majoring in the medical field. I enjoy being surrounded by people who are happy being in the dentistry field. I grew up in Los Angeles, CA. I live with my nine-year-old son, who is my motivation to keep on trying to be successful. Being a mom has shown me the value of hard work. One thing that I love to do is bake with my son. He loves to join mommy in learning how to work together. I also enjoy watching movies and spending time with family and friends. I’m looking forward to continuing to help and meet wonderful people.

Alma – Chairside Dental AssistantAlma – Chairside Dental Assistant

I was always interested in the dental field as a kid having to wear braces. This led to becoming a dental assistant in 2007 with Dr. Pena, where I completed an internship, then hired full time. I took a break from the dental field for a few years to pursue my bachelor’s degree in biology. Now back again with Dr. Pena and the rest of the staff has been so much fun as I’m doing again what I’ve always loved. Outside of work I enjoy being outdoors, hiking, and exploring nature.
